Joy in the Rebuilding: BCSL Visits Ingram and Kerrville ISD

Convocations for Ingram and Kerrville ISD looked a little different this year after the Guadalupe River and flooding altered the landscape of these communities and their schools for the second year in a row. In Ingram ISD, all three campuses and 12 district buildings sustained damage that required fixing before school welcomed the students on August 12. Students and educators at Kerrville ISD continue to clean up homes and replace personal items as the school year begins. Despite the repairs still underway in their schools and communities, educators gathered for convocation to welcome a new school year and the hard work of rebuilding together.

Shared Work, Shared Joy: Moody School of Education Kickoff

On August 10, 2026, the Moody School of Education hosted its annual kickoff event, welcoming teacher candidates to their final clinical experiences at local schools. Hosted at the Hurd Welcome Center, 51 Baylor education students met the educators from La Vega ISD, Midway ISD, Robinson ISD, and Waco ISD who would support their clinical experience.

More than Coursework: Inside the Baylor MA in School Leadership Immersion

Each June, educators from across the world gather for the Baylor MA in School Leadership Immersion. This two-week experience is designed to bring leaders together to learn, collaborate, and grow as they pursue graduate-level coursework in educational leadership. This year, 62 educators came together to build their capacity for collective leadership through engaging coursework and opportunities to cultivate professional relationships.

Catalyze 2026: Turning Adaptive Challenges into Measurable Impact

Baylor Center for School Leadership (BCSL) hosted Catalyze on June 1-2, gathering over 100 educators at the Hurd Welcome Center. This two-day event brought school teams together around shared adaptive challenges, leveraging collective leadership to drive lasting, measurable change.
