Evaluation
Evaluation supports professional growth, strengthens teaching, and improves student learning. As an ongoing process, it identifies strengths and specific areas for development.
FEW for School Improvement uses established evaluation frameworks to support consistent, evidence-based feedback and professional growth. Independent schools use the Adapted Danielson Framework, while Texas public schools use the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) to guide evaluation and instructional improvement.
- Schools can use one of two evaluation models that are integrated into FEW for School Improvement.
- Adapted Danielson Framework for Independent Schools
- T-TESS for Texas public schools
Each FEW Survey question is aligned to specific standards within the evaluation framework. This helps educators move beyond survey results to identify strengths and opportunities for growth.
Teaching Moves translate evaluation standards into specific instructional practices. They show what effective teaching looks like and give practical strategies for putting it into practice.
