  • The FEW survey is anonymous. No student information is collected.
  • FEW data is non-evaluative and intended to be used for individual growth.

FEW Survey Process

  • Complete the registration form.
  • You will upload a spreadsheet with the emails of the teachers or administrators who will administer the survey.
  • Choose one of the two options below and add the email addresses of either the administrators or teachers to the appropriate labeled tab:
    • Google Sheet (set the sharing settings to "Anyone with the link can edit")
    • Download the Excel spreadsheet
  • After you submit the registration form, you will receive an email with tips and reminders for administering the survey.
  • On the first day of the window, you will receive an email from noreply-qualtrics@baylor.edu with your individual Qualtrics survey link. If you do not see the email, please check your spam folder.
  • We recommend starting at the beginning of the window to ensure you have time to exceed the minimum response rate of 50%. This response rate helps provide you with an accurate representation of your data.
  • All responses must be collected by the last date of the survey window to be included in your report.
  • Reports will be sent within a month of the window closing.
  • Teachers will receive their individual reports.
  • Administrators will receive school-wide reports for each type of survey administered.
  • Reports are only generated for groups that have 5 or more responses.
  • Access to our digital tool library will be shared with your FEW Survey reports.
  • Each link is connected to the person administering the survey and should only be shared with those responding. Teachers and administrators should not share their individual links with each other.
  • Links can be distributed through any platform used with teachers or students (Canvas, Seesaw, Google Classroom, email, etc.).
  • For student surveys, we recommend giving the survey to all students in their first period class, unless another period works better for your campus to survey all students.
  • We do not recommend all teachers surveying every student in every class, as this can lead to survey fatigue and less accurate data.

FEW FAQs

Yes. For younger students or those who are not comfortable using technology, you may print the survey and have them complete it on paper. However, all responses must still be entered electronically. A proctor (ideally not the students’ teacher or supervisor) will need to enter each response into Qualtrics using the survey link.

We recommend administering the survey to faculty and staff first. This models openness to feedback before asking teachers to gather feedback from their students.

If parental consent is required, please use our Parental Notification and Consent Form.
